Awakening from a fitful sleep I can not help wonder what the day will bring. Will it be like so many before it, full of angst and torment with no relief in sight or will we finally be prodded into action? Like so many I had found myself easily absorbing the name calling but not the sticks and stones an indifferent government had visited upon its people. Its as if they are hell bent on provoking people so they can crush us once and for all. What a foolish mistake that will be for all concerned as we head into a summer with terrible possibility of civil unrest on every front.
Years ago at the 69 Moratorium in DC I argued with one of my brothers who was pushing the possibility of a civil war that he was crazy. He was fairly radical and thought it was happening but I argued that a middle class with full bellies, 2 cars in the garage and rising salaries don’t do revolutions. Well it didn’t happen then but today it could easily happen as we head into a worldwide famine we can not escape, $10 a gallon gas and falling wages. There is also the illegal migrant invasion on the southern border, soaring crime, homelessness, and local governments that don’t seem to be able to keep us safe.
What will cause the spark? Who knows but the Biden Administration seems bent on pushing us into a corner and crushing us. I am beginning to wonder if we can avoid it no matter how hard we try to turn the other cheek.
